1932 is a wine with a story tied to one man's life and his dream of producing a great Montepulciano d'Abruzzo as precious as a jewel. Unfortunately, the man did not see his dream come true, but his son worked hard to realize that goal and in the vintage 2015 this wonderful wine was born. 1932 is the 'year of birth of Domenico Dell' Orefice and this wine is wants to remember his life and his dreams.

Tasting notes
Deep ruby red color. On the nose it is complex and fruity: red fruit jam, maraschino cherry, and a pleasant spiciness of black pepper, and vanilla. In the mouth it is fresh and fruity: black cherry. Tannins are velvety and sensual. Full body, great structure and long finish.

People d’ Abruzzo is a wine inspired by the great people of Abruzzo and its essence, defined as strong and gentle by the writer Primo Levi, who describes it in his book as people who, despite adversity, and often considered as gruff, do not forget the essential rules of kindness, solidarity and hospitality. This wine reflects the people of Abruzzo with its intense character: assertive, fresh and vibrant, capable of enchanting with the softness of its tannins and the fullness of its juicy red fruits on the palate.

Ruby red color with light violet hues. On the nose notes of rose and wild violet, hints of red fruit and ripe plum and a slight hint of spices. On the palate it is fresh and joyful, jammy: notes of black cherry and wild blackberry, very well-integrated tannins voluptuous and elegant. It is a wine with a good structure and persistence on the palate.

Wine pairings

Tasting notes
Vaticino is the outcome of a late harvest and long maceration on the skins. The 12-month aging in barriques gives it splendid structure but does not weigh it down. Vaticino is an intense ruby red wine, on the nose reminiscent of dried flowers and red fruit jam are perceived. Moreover, a pleasant spiciness of liquorice black pepper, cloves and vanilla with hints of coffee and tobacco. On the palate it is intense, sensual and mouth-filling, with great freshness. The tannins are velvety; the finish reminds of black cherry jam. A wine of great structure and long length.

When choosing a wine pairing, we should consider only those dishes that cannot be overpowered by the vigour and personality of this wine and that have equal structure. There are predominantly fruity aromas, red fruit jam accompanied by spicy nuances of black pepper, cloves and liquorice with pleasant hints of tobacco and bitter chocolate resulting from the prolonged aging. The flavour profile of Vaticino is completed with a remarkable smoothness, and elegance properties perfect for accompanying unctuous and succulent dishes. Alcoholicity and smoothness are capable of drying the palate and mitigating these food sensations. It pairs well with full-bodied meat dishes such as pasta dishes with flavourful sauces, especially when made from game and venison. Great with sausage and aged cheeses. An excellent meditation wine, ideal to drink at the end of a meal paired with dark chocolate.

The name of the wine “Cerasuolo” derives from the typical color of the cherry, called Cerasa in Abruzzi dialect. Intense and bright cherry pink with orange reflections. On the nose it releases notes of cherry, wild strawberries and currants, and delicate hints of rose. The sip is driven by an 'excellent freshness and savouriness. On the palate it is crispy and juicy. In addition, its barely noticeable tannin makes it a long-lasting and well-structured wine.

Due to its remarkable territorial adherence, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo pairs perfectly with traditional Abruzzo dishes such as fish soup "brodetto di pesce alla Vastese," legume soups, cheese boards and assorted local cured meats. This rosé is made from the best Montepulciano and Sangiovese musts with a very short maceration on the skins. The color is a brilliant soft pink. The bouquet is ranging from red fruits such as raspberry, strawberry and fresh cherry to floral notes of rose and pomegranate. On the palate it is dry and charming. Its vivacity is due to its fruity mouthfeel, and the perfect balance between freshness and savoriness. A vibrant and versatile wine of great drinkability and balance.

Rosato Orefice enriches appetizers based on cured meats, pizzas and it is delicious with young and fresh cheeses or vegetable-based dishes. The history
The origin of the name of the pecorino grape variety is still a mystery, but many say it is linked to the practice of transhumant herding in Abruzzo: this type of grape, sweet because it ripens earlier than other native varieties, was the favorite of the sheep, who ate it around mid-September.

Tasting notes
Pecorino is a pale straw yellow wine. On the nose, hints of ripe yellow-fleshed fruits such as peach, medlar and apricot, and some citrus notes stand out. Herbaceous notes of thyme and sage can also be perceived. On the palate reveals itself to be intense, fresh and inviting. A full and vibrant sip, it's savoriness makes it particularly suitable for gastronomy. The finish is long lasting, both on the palate and on the nose. An elegant wine of great structure and drinkability.

Pecorino allows a wide range of pairings, from aperitifs to soups, white meat and fish pasta dishes such as spaghetti with clams. It is also lovely with vegetable or mushroom dishes.
