The history, the land and our dreams, all in a glass of wine

The name of our winery Orefice, (goldsmith) takes its inspiration from the craftsmanship of one who works with precious metals and gems, this is how we look after our vineyards located in the heart of Abruzzo on beautiful hills of ancient winemaking tradition near Ortona.

Orefice wines was set up by five friends, Giuseppe, Mirko, Emore, Maurizio and Francesco, each of them has a different story to tell, yet each of them has a common denominator, which is nothing less than an unbreakable tie with the world of wine inspired by a long winemaking tradition that has been handed down for several generations committed to the love for the land and its harvest. The bond between the led them to create Orefice Vini which is the history, the land and their dreams, all together in a glass of wine.

Our production focuses mainly on native grape varieties such as Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina and Cococciola, plus a small percentage of other varieties. Our goal is to respect the identity and character of each grape variety, so that each one is different and precious as a jewel, an ambassador of our land to the world.

The vineyards are located at about 300 meters above sea level and benefit from a wide temperature range that helps the grapes to ripen fully. Warmer daytime temperatures favour the development of sugars, while cool nights help to preserve aromas, freshness and acidity.

Orefice Vini is capable of producing wines with unique characteristics: concentration of aromas and flavours, which has an important implication for the quality, structure and balance of the wines. Our whites tend to be fresh, with fruity, floral or citrus aromas and are mineral and savoury on the palate. Our reds are fresh and elegant with velvety tannins, with hints of ripe red fruit and floral and spicy notes on the nose. Rosé wines express aromas of fresh red fruit, and are fruity, fresh and savoury on the palate.

The passion and experience inherited from our grandparents inspires us and allows us to produce wines of outstanding quality: unique, expressive and elegant, capable of conquering the most varied palates.

We are part of one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world, and we recognize the priceless value of our lands by observing their natural timeline. To each of us, having respect for the environment and for nature is a fundamental principle, which is reflected in the choice of raw materials and the quality of our products.
